Statement from our Executive Principal, Mrs Gillian Marshall:   This year, following the cancellation of exams, GCSE grades were awarded through a process of teacher assessed grades, against a national standard and approved and awarded by the exam boards. New NSPCC Dedicated Helpline Launched

The NSPCC have launched a dedicated helpline for children and young people who have experienced abuse at school, and for worried adults and professionals that need support and guidance, including for non-recent abuse. Alpha Trust and Colchester County High School for Girls designated Teaching School Hub

In this unprecedented year our Year 13 students have demonstrated their resilience in the most challenging of circumstances. As the 2020 summer exam season was cancelled, this year’s cohort have been awarded grades by the exam boards, based on information supplied by the school. Last year, we celebrated the best results in the history of the school; this has once again been repeated. We thank students, staff, governors and parents for all of the hard work and support on our journey. There were 140 students taking GCSEs in 2019. The school was ranked the fourth state school in the country for GCSE performance in The Times.
