Apprenticeships are a good way to gain the skills and experience needed to get into many careers.

Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study. Apprentices work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills, they are generally paid and released to follow a course of study for one day a week.

Apprenticeships take 1 to 5 years to complete depending on their level.
