CCHSG Wins Award for Exceptional Attainment and Student Progress

The school was delighted to have received a letter from Nick Gibb MP, Minister of State for School Standards, congratulating us on our Progress 8 figure 2016/2017 which places the school in the top 5% for progress.  This is a fantastic achievement given that students already enter the school achieving at a very high level.

In further national recognition of the work of the school, CCHSG has also just been informed that we are to receive an Educational Outcomes Award for exceptional 2016 results from the Schools, Students and Teachers network (SSAT).  Educational outcomes data analysis from SSAT has shown that the school is in the top 10% of selective schools nationally for attainment and progress.

The school’s SSAT Educational Outcomes Awards will be presented at a regional celebration event held to draw attention to the work of high-achieving and innovating schools and teachers.

Sue Williamson, Chief Executive of SSAT said:

“It’s my great pleasure to commend Colchester County High School for Girls on their excellent 2016 performance and to have the opportunity to highlight and share their great work at an SSAT Educational Outcomes celebration event.  We know how hard teachers work to ensure the success of every child.  SSAT’s Educational Outcomes Award recognises the professionalism, commitment and hard work of the leaders, teachers and students at Colchester County High School for Girls.  A big thank you and well done to the students, staff and governors.”
